'Court' Actress Sridevi Wraps Shooting for Multilingual Film 'Haiku'

Actress Sridevi, who won the hearts of Telugu audiences with her impressive performance in Court, has completed shooting for her upcoming multilingual film Haiku. The film, which stars Aegan, Sridevi and Minnal Murali fame Femina George in lead roles, has officially wrapped principal photography and entered the post-production phase.

Produced by Dr. D. Arulanandhu and Mathewo Arulanandhu under the Vision Cinema House banner, Haiku is written and directed by Yuvaraj Chinnasamy. The makers completed the shoot across four schedules, spanning nearly 90 call sheets.

Expressing his happiness on completing the project, director Yuvaraj Chinnasamy described Haiku as a special journey. He thanked producers Dr. D. Arulanandhu and Mathewo Arulanandhu for trusting his vision from the beginning and giving him complete creative freedom throughout the filmmaking process. He also appreciated the dedication of lead actors Aegan, Sridevi, Femina George and the entire cast and crew.

The director revealed that Haiku is being crafted as a soothing, breezy and emotionally satisfying theatrical experience. He further stated that the unwavering support from the producers helped the team bring the film to life exactly as envisioned and expressed confidence that Vision Cinema House will continue encouraging young filmmaking talent.

Sharing their excitement, producers Dr. D. Arulanandhu and Mathewo Arulanandhu said completing the film marks an important milestone. They praised director Yuvaraj Chinnasamy’s sincerity, discipline and clarity of vision, adding that Haiku has shaped up exactly as they had hoped. They are confident audiences will connect with the film’s emotional depth once it releases in theatres after post-production.

Apart from the lead trio, the film features an impressive supporting cast including Adrichi Arun, Mime Gopi, Sathyam Sundaram fame Indhumathi, Lubber Pandhu fame Jenson, Sirai fame Ismatha Banu, Doctor Shiva and several other notable actors.

The technical crew includes Hari Haran Ram (Additional Screenplay), Priyesh Guruswamy (Cinematography), Sakthi Pranesh (Editing), Siddhu Kumar (Music) and Prem (Art Direction).

In a major boost for the project, Haiku has already secured its post-theatrical digital streaming rights with Netflix, even before completing production. At a time when OTT platforms have become highly selective in acquiring content, the early digital deal reflects the confidence in the film’s story and its universal emotional appeal.

With filming now complete, the makers have shifted their focus to post-production, while more updates regarding the film’s release are expected in the coming months.
