Earlier this year, Thalapathy Vijay's 'Master' came out and helped the theater owners when they were struggling to revive from the financial damages of the ongoing pandemic. Then, Sun Pictures has announced that the star will play the lead in their upcoming project under Nelson Dilipkumar's direction (Kolamaavu Kokila Fame).

This marks the 65th film of Thalapathy Vijay, which was tentatively called 'Thalapathy65'. The makers unveiled the title and the first look posters on the eve of the special occasion - Thalapathy's birthday. Vijay's 65th film was named 'Beast', in which Tollywood actress Pooja Hegde is pairing with the star for the first time.

Anirudh Ravichander, who composed for Master, is also composing the soundtrack of Beast. Manoj Paramahamsa is roped in as the cinematographer. Some part of the movie is to be filmed in Georgia. The first two schedules of the filming are over. The second schedule happened in Chennai.

Now, the latest reports say that the 3rd schedule is to start from Monday. After completing this schedule, the team will fly to Russia in September to shoot an important action sequence. 'Beast' is slated for a theatrical release on Pongal 2022. Stay tuned for more updates.
