Disney's timeless classic 'The Lion King' animated version released in the year 1994 and remains a much-viewed film which is in most film lover's library and is a regular fare on Television in the holiday season. The live-action remake is directed by Jon Favreau and hits the screen on July 19th this year.
'The Lion King' trailer has an awesomely philosophical voiceover of Mufasa telling Simba "Life is not fair...is it my friend..while some are born to feast...others spend their lifetimes in the dark begging for scraps...Everything you see exists together in a delicate balance...While others search for what they can take...a true king searches for what he can give...You must take your place in the circle of life..."
'The Lion King' official synopsis reads "Journeys to the African savanna where a future king is born. Simba idolizes his father, King Mufasa, and takes to heart his own royal destiny. But not everyone in the kingdom celebrates the new cub’s arrival. Scar, Mufasa’s brother—and former heir to the throne—has plans of his own. The battle for Pride Rock is ravaged with betrayal, tragedy and drama, ultimately resulting in Simba’s exile. With help from a curious pair of newfound friends, Simba will have to figure out how to grow up and take back what is rightfully his.
'The Lion King' stars the voices of Donald Glover, Seth Rogen, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Alfre Woodard, Billy Eichner, John Kani, John Oliver, Florence Kasumba, Eric André, Keegan-Michael Key, JD McCrary, Shahadi Wright Joseph, with Beyoncé Knowles-Carter and James Earl Jones.
