Sivakarthikeyan Set to Reunite with Kamal Haasan Production?

Kollywood is abuzz once again with exciting news! Actor Sivakarthikeyan is in talks to star in another film produced by Kamal Haasan‘s Raaj Kamal Films International banner. Following the massive success of their previous collaboration Amaran (2024), which received huge critical and commercial acclaim, sources indicate that discussions are underway for a fresh project.
The new film is expected to be directed by Sivakumar Murugesan, who is currently making his directorial debut with Thaai Kizhavi (also spelled Thai Kizhavi). This rural comedy-drama, presented by Sivakarthikeyan’s SK Productions in association with Passion Studios and starring veteran actress Radhika Sarathkumar in the lead, is set for theatrical release on February 20, 2026. The film’s teaser, Radhika’s powerful look (which even impressed Kamal Haasan), rustic setting, and strong ensemble cast (including Singam Puli, Arul Doss, Munishkanth, Bala Saravanan, and others) have already generated significant buzz.
Sivakarthikeyan, who believed strongly in the story of Thaai Kizhavi and backed it as presenter, was reportedly impressed by Sivakumar Murugesan’s narrative style. After Thaai Kizhavi‘s release, the actor is planning to team up with the director for his next lead role—with Kamal Haasan’s production house bankrolling the project. Industry insiders say the deal is expected to be finalized soon under Raaj Kamal Films.
Meanwhile, Sivakarthikeyan’s current lineup includes:
- A film directed by Ramkumar (of Parking fame)
- A major project with Venkat Prabhu (currently in pre-production)
He intends to take up Sivakumar Murugesan’s film (under Kamal Haasan’s banner) right after these commitments. The Amaran success has fans optimistic that this Kamal-Sivakarthikeyan combo could deliver another blockbuster.
