He shared the screen with many leading actors and comedy stalwarts, leaving a lasting impression by playing character roles and key parts in over a hundred films.

In an exclusive interview with Indiaglitz, actor Vennira Aadai Moorthy shared:

'I was born into an orthodox family. At home, we weren't allowed to watch films or TV. When I was in school, I would secretly watch plays and movies without my family knowing.

I studied law but never practiced it.

One day, after having a meal at a hotel, I noticed a book related to astrology on my way out. Out of curiosity, I bought it to see what it had to say about my zodiac sign. But the book had some intriguing things that caught my attention.

I dialed the number from the book and went to meet the astrologer. He told me that I wouldn't do well in a regular job. Instead, he said I would act in movies, and that too, I’d keep acting till I was old and frail. He also said I'd be drawn to astrology, and I should learn it. It was he who encouraged me to study astrology, and I learned it from him.

Vennira Aadai was my first film. It had a huge star cast, including Srikanth, Jayalalitha, Nirmala Mali, and Major Sundarrajan.

I'm still proud of the fact that I had the opportunity to write the story and dialogues for the movie Maalai Sooda Vaa, in which Kamal Haasan starred.

The Sun TV show Meendum Meendum Sirippu became very popular. It aired for 11 consecutive years and was widely appreciated by the public.

Directors from my time or even today's directors are all talented. They have made the most of the opportunities and tools available to them and achieved great success.
