Shocking ! Vijay to take break from acting for three years after ‘Thalapathy 68’?

On June 17th, Thalapathy Vijay caused a huge sensation not only in the film industry but also in the political circles due to the tremendous response he received for his School toppers meet.  The Vijay Makkal Iyakkam on behalf of its leader invited young achievers along with their parents from all 234 constituencies in Tamil Nadu and not only honored them with medals but also cash prizes.

The event gave clear signals of Vijay’s imminent entry into politics and analysts are already debating whether he would throw his hat in the arena during the Indian Parliamentary elections in May 2024 or the Tamil Nadu Assembly Elections in 2026.  Now certain television and online media have reported that Vijay will take a break from acting for three years after the completion of ‘Thalapathy 68’  to concentrate on politics.

Right now Vijay has completed shooting for Lokesh Kanagaraj’s ‘Leo’ costarring Trisha which will release worldwide in theaters on October 19th.  He is expected to take a vacation for three months and join the sets of Venkat Prabhu’s ‘Thalapathy 68’ from this October.  The film is expected to release on Diwali 2024 but will wrap up Vijay’s portions by June or July.  The reports say that he will be fully involved in his party works after that.

Other reports have also suggested that Vijay’s ‘Thalapathy 69’ is already locked with Atlee as director and Sun Pictures as the bankroller.  But the same sources also say that no agreements have been signed and whether Vijay will go ahead and take so long a break and give his fans a shock only time will tell.
