Thalapathy Vijay caused a sensation on April 6th by riding a bicycle to cast his vote in Neelangarai. Speculations were galore on social media by one section claiming that he was protesting the petrol and diesel price hikes by cycling and others said that he was indirectly asking his fans to vote for the DMK since his bicycle was red and black in color.

An official statement from Vijay cleared the air that since the polling booth was just a half a kilometer from his house and since the road was narrow he opted to bike to cast his vote and there was no other intention.

Though we are not sure what exactly was in Vijay's mind yesterday we have collected the maximum information on the bicycle that he rode. The mountain bike is called Montra Metal 27.5 and is priced around rupees 22800 in Chennai having an Alloy 6061 Hardtail MTB Frame.

As for the gearing system, the Montra Metal has a Shimano Tourney 3-Speed front derailleur, a Shimano Tourney 8-Speed rear derailleur and Shimano Tourney 3x8 Speed shifters. The two-wheeler comes with Mechanical Disc Brakes and a Zoom Suspension fork with 60mm travel and Mechanical Lockout. The city ride will be very smooth due to its performance.

Thalapathy Vijay meanwhile has flown to Georgia, USA to take part in the first schedule of shooting of 'Thalapathy 65' produced by Sun Pictures and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar. The film has Pooja Hegde as the heroine and Anirudh scoring the music.
