We all know that the Thalapathy Vijay starrer 'Varisu' is closer to the finish line. The film directed by Vamshi Paidipally and co-starring Rashmika Mandanna is releasing on Pongal 2023. The star will be teaming up with director Lokesh Kangaraj for the second time in 'Thalapathy 67'.

According to Pinkvilla, Vijay is set to wrap up the entire shooting of Varisu on October 27. He will move to his next project after a short break. A source close to the team says, "Vijay is shooting for Varisu’s last schedule in Chennai and the team is set to complete it by October 27. After which, he will take a short break and jump on to his next for Lokesh Kanagaraj."

Also, it is being reported that the most-awaited 'Thalapathy 67' official announcement is likely to arrive on October 23. Talking about the upcoming project, a source reveals, "The final scripting of the film is done and will be a rooted intense action film. Lokesh has reworked the script and has made a few big changes. The entire team of technicians that had worked on Kamal Haasan’s Vikram has been retained."
