‘Thalapathy 66’ release date announced with massive back-to-back cast updates!

We all know that Thalapathy Vijay is currently shooting for his next Tamil-Telugu bilingual film with Vamshi Paidipally, bankrolled by Dil Raju’s Sri Venkateswara Creations. With Rashmika as the female lead, the shoot is taking place at a set erected in Hyderabad now.

The team already completed a minor song schedule in Chennai. Meanwhile today, the production house dropped back to back updates on the cast of ‘Thalapathy 66’ through social media pages. As we reported earlier, Sarathkumar and Prakash Raj are on board for ‘Thalapathy 66’ and Ilayathilagam Prabhu is the latest addition to the cast.

The makers launched special posters for the cast updates and the highlight is that the posters read, “Pongal 2023” indicating that they are planning to release ‘Thalapathy 66’ on the mentioned date. It is to be noted that we informed you earlier that the crew is aiming for a Pongal release.

Also, veteran actor Shaam and comedy actor Yogi Babu are roped in to play pivotal roles in the movie. An official announcement regarding the rest of the cast members is expected soon. Thaman S is composing music for ‘Thalapathy 66’ while Karthick Palani is handling the cinematography.
