The talk of the town in the South Indian film industry is most definitely the official announcement of 'Thalapathy 66' that came on September 26th out of the blue. Vijay who will play the lead role in the new mega budgeted bilingual film to be produced by Dil Raju and directed by Vamshi Paidipally has reportedly received the highest ever remuneration by a South Indian star.
Soon after the announcement, Dil Raju and Vamsi along with their families visited the Tirupati Venkatachalapathy temple in Andhra and sought divine blessings. Later the director Vamsi spoke to the press and stated "After the announcement of the National Award for 'Maharishi' itself we wanted to come here and do darshan. But then we could not come because of the spread of corona. Now that we have announced 'Thalapathy 66' with Vijay we thought it was the most auspicious time as we are strong believers in God.
Regarding the story of 'Thalapathy 66' the hit director said that the film will definitely entertain but at the same time carry a strong message and that is all that he can reveal at the moment.
Vamshi gushed that Vijay is the supreme star of Tamil Nadu and looks new in every film and directing him will be a new experience for him and it is the grace of God that he got the opportunity. He then promised that his team will be revealing more interesting details on 'Thalapathy 66' in the near future.
