The long-awaited trailer of 'Thalaivi' has been unveiled as a birthday gift for Kangana Ranaut who plays the title role of former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J. Jayalalitha. The talented actress has truly stunned viewers by her near-perfect impersonation of the charismatic leader through her body language and also dubbing with her own voice.

Arvind Swamy as MGR, Madhoo as V.N. Janaki and Samithirakani as RMV are the others from the trailer of 'Thalaivi' who are striking by their close resemblance to the original leaders.

'Thalaivi' is directed by Vijay, written by Vijayendra Prasad with a music score by G.V. Prakash Kumar, and is jointly produced by Vishnu Vardhan Induri and Shailesh R Singh. The three-minute three-second cut is an absolute sell due to its near authentic recreation of history visually.
