Chiyaan Vikram, hailed as one of the most versatile actors in India recently enthralled audiences as Aditha Karikalan in Mani Ratnam's 'Ponniyin Selvan 1' and 'Ponniyin Selvan 2'. Unfortunately he broke his ribs while rehearsing for an action sequence for Pa Ranjith's 'Thangalaan' and has been adviced a months rest by doctors.
Meanwhile there is a strong buzz in Kollywood that director T.J. Gnanavel has approached Vikram to play the chief antagonist role in Superstar Rajinikanth's 'Thalaivar 170' which goes on floors in a few weeks time. Though Vikram liked the story and his role he was reluctant to act in a negative shade.
Sources say that Lyca Productions owner Subaskaran has offerred a remuneration of rupees fifty crores to Vikram that too in a single payment. It is worth mentioning that Lyca produced both 'PS-1' and 'PS-2' and the company has a good rapport with Chiyaan. We have to wait and watch if the deal goes through and we will get to watch the one and only Superstar and one and only Super Actor locking horns. Stay tuned.
