Veteran actor Chelladurai passed away

Tamil cinema has lost many of its prominent celebrities in 2021 including , actor Vivek, director Thamira and director K.V. Anand.  Veteran actor Chelladurai passed away at his residence in Chennai on Thursday due to a heart attack at the age of 84.  It is said that he was found unconscious in his house by relatives who rushed him to the hospital where he was declared dead.

Chelladurai has delivered several notable performances in recent times in films such as ‘Kaththi’ and ‘Theri’ with Vijay, ‘Maari’ with Dhanush, and also Hip Hop Tamizha’s ‘Natpe Thunai’.  

Kollywood celebrities and fans are taking to social media to pay their tributes to Chelladurai hailing him that he will always be remembered for his convincing portrayal of the father who loses his daughter to rape in ‘Theri’ and all his other films.
