Superstar Rajinikanth the numero uno wholesome entertainer of South Indian cinema has finished all his work including dubbing for his new movie 'Annaathe'. The film is directed by Siruthai Siva and produced by Sun Pictures with D. Imman scoring the music.

The ensemble cast of 'Annaathe' is Rajini, Keerthy Suresh, Nayanthara, Meena, Khusbhu, Soori, Prakash Raj and Jagapathy Babu. The worldwide release is slated for November 4th, Diwali day this year.

Talks have been going on with several directors to helm Rajini's next movie 'Thalaivar 169' including Karthik Subbaraj, Desingh Periyasamy, and others, and a project with the latter is almost confirmed.

Fresh reports suggest that Rajini also liked a family-based commercial story narrated by Pandiraj and is on the verge of giving his nod. The director is known for his family-based entertainers such as Suriya's 'Pasanga 2', Karthi's 'Kadaikutty Singam' and Sivkarthikeyan's 'Namma Veettu Pillai'. He is currently helming Suriya's 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' costarring Priyanka Arul Mohan, Sathyaraj and Saranya Ponvannan.

Sun Pictures who is currently producing 'Annaathe' as well as Pandiraj's 'Etharkkum Thunindhavan' is said to be keen to bankroll this project. We have to wait and see if the Thalaivar opts to give dates first to Pandiraj or Desingh Periyasamy.
