Superstar Rajinikanth is one of the biggest icons in Indian cinema. He hails from Karnataka but the news is that his ancestors are from the Nachikuppam village in the Krishnagiri district. Now, the actor has erected a statue for his parents in his native village in Tamil Nadu.

Rajinikanth’s ancestors and parents lived in this village. Some of his relatives are living there. Rajini’s brother Sathyanarayana Rao often visits the village on certain occasions. Thalaivar bought 2.40 acres of land in his native village to set up a memorial to his parents Ranojirao-Rambai. The foundation stone for this was laid by his brother Sathyanarayana Rao.

Now, a memorial is built by Rajini and his brother in Nachikuppam with statues of their parents Ranojirao and Rambai. The memorial was completed and consecrated in December last year. The superstar has not only constructed a memorial but also an overhead reservoir to provide purified drinking water to the villagers and separate water for the cattle.

The villagers are super happy that Rajinikanth is from their village and full of gratitude for the water his family provides. Also, they hope that Rajini will visit the memorial and village in person soon. Thalaivar's brother said that Rajini is wishing to visit the place and he surely will but it is getting delayed due to his commitments and film shooting while talking to the media.
