Super singer Pragathi made a mark in her playback singing career with the songs "Or Mirugam" and "Sengaade" under the music direction of G.V. Prakash in 'Paradesi' directed by Bala. She was also signed by Bala for a movie he planned with new faces and shot for a few days but dropped it for unknown reasons.

Pragathi has since continued her musical journey and being a hip young woman also is pretty active on social media sharing and pics and videos. Most of the posts are highly stylish and aesthetic in taste.

Pragathi recently had a photoshoot on the beach which went viral on the internet and much appreciated by many of her followers. However, an online blogpost had run a story alleging that the 23-year-old Singapore born Pragathi has become addicted to alcohol and has multiple boyfriends. The report also alleged that she is exposing her body for money.

Pragathi has come out strongly against the report "Don’t believe everything you read on the internet...to those of you messaging me to report the article / sue the media, it’s not worth any of our time or energy. to those of you being mean and terrible to me....(she has added an upside-down emoji)". Well that should silence the gossip mongers and culture police in one go.
