Sundar.C’s laugh riot ‘Kalakalappu 2’ starring Jiiva, Jai, Shiva, Nikki Galrani, Catherine Tresa had an excellent reception among the audiences. And around 20 days of its release, the film still seems to hold its magic in the box office.

The film has raked in about 20 crores since its release thus averaging roughly 1 crore a day. The film has reaped in Rs.3.85 crore in Chennai, Rs.6.95 crore in Chengalpattu, Rs.4.3 crore in Coimbatore, Rs.68 lakhs in Tirunelveli-Kanyakumari and Rs.1.75 crores in Madurai-Ramnad regions respectively.

By an excellent performance at the box office ‘Kalakalappu 2’ has rightly joined the list of successful movies this year. Moreover, the film is expected to continue entertaining audiences as there are no new major releases owing to the strike implemented by the Producers Council until March 1.
