Nandamuri Balakrishna has once again sustained an injury to the same leg while filming his upcoming action entertainer NBK111. The actor reportedly suffered a minor leg injury during rehearsals for a high-octane action sequence with the film’s fight masters at the Kakinada Port shooting location. The incident prompted the film’s unit to immediately shift him to a nearby hospital, where he received first aid. Sources close to the production have confirmed that the injury is not serious and that Balakrishna has been advised to take a short period of rest before resuming the shoot.
Interestingly, this isn’t the first time Balakrishna has injured the same leg. During the shooting of Lion, he suffered a similar leg injury while performing action sequences. Years later, he once again experienced trouble with the same leg during the filming of Aha’s Unstoppable in 2021. Now, fate appears to have repeated itself on the sets of NBK111, making it yet another setback involving the very same leg.
Directed by Gopichand Malineni, NBK111 is mounted as a massive action entertainer with a gangster backdrop. The film also features Manchu Manoj in a pivotal role, sharing screen space with Balakrishna in several important sequences, including the action block during which the incident occurred.
The film is being produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru, the producer of Ram Charan’s blockbuster PEDDI, under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. With music composed by SS. Thaman, the project is one of the most anticipated Telugu films currently in production.
Despite the unexpected injury, Balakrishna is said to be in good spirits. Fans have flooded social media with wishes for his speedy recovery and are eagerly waiting for the actor to return to the sets and continue filming the much-awaited NBK111.
