Nagarjuna Says “Our Home Is Filled With Joy”

The team of Lenin, starring Akhil Akkineni and Bhagyashri Borse, celebrated the film’s blockbuster success with a grand victory event on Monday. Presented by Annapurna Studios and produced by Akkineni Nagarjuna and Suryadevara Naga Vamsi under Manam Enterprises LLP and Sithara Entertainments, the action drama, directed by Murali Kishor Abburu, has been enjoying a successful theatrical run since its release on July 10.

To mark the film’s remarkable performance at the box office, the makers hosted a special Blockbuster Celebrations event, where distributors, exhibitors, and members of the film’s cast and crew were felicitated with commemorative shields.

Nagarjuna: “This Success Feels Like a Festival for Our Family”

Speaking at the event, Akkineni Nagarjuna expressed his happiness over the overwhelming response to the film.

“It has been a long time since we celebrated a film’s success by honoring distributors and exhibitors. I’m delighted that we’re doing it again for Lenin. Hearing that the film is still running to housefull shows everywhere is truly heartwarming,” he said.

Nagarjuna credited writer Satyanand for his valuable creative inputs and praised lyricist Ramajogayya Sastry and the entire post-production team at Annapurna Studios for their outstanding work.

He also urged filmmakers to complete post-production well in advance of release, recalling how films used to be ready at least a month before release during earlier days.

Talking about Akhil’s long-awaited success, Nagarjuna became emotional.

“Akhil has been waiting for this love and these cheers from the audience for a long time. For me, Akhil and Chaitanya, this success feels like a festival. Our home is filled with joy. Nothing makes us happier than distributors and exhibitors calling to say the film is doing well and shows are being increased. My heartfelt thanks to the audience and fans for embracing Lenin.”

Naga Chaitanya: “I Was Confident Akhil Would Score a Hit”

Naga Chaitanya thanked Akkineni fans for standing by the family and said he was convinced Lenin would become a success the moment Akhil accepted the script.

He praised Akhil’s complete transformation for the title role and said he felt proud both as a brother and as a fan.

Chaitanya also lauded Nagarjuna for taking bold creative decisions throughout his career.

“My father’s fearless choices gave us classics like Shiva, Annamayya, and Ninne Pelladata. In the same spirit, he backed Lenin with confidence,” he said.

He appreciated producer Naga Vamsi for presenting Akhil in a powerful manner, praised director Murali Kishor Abburu, composer Thaman, actress Bhagyashri Borse, and the entire cast and crew for their performances.

“It has been a long time since we attended a shield function like this. Seeing distributors and producers celebrate together is wonderful because when they are happy, the entire industry benefits. Thank you to the audience for giving my baby brother such a huge hit,” Chaitanya added.

A visibly delighted Akhil Akkineni thanked distributors, exhibitors, fans, and every technician who contributed to the film.

“We have spoken a lot about Lenin over the past few days. I sincerely thank the distributors who supported us by increasing theatres from the second day itself. I’m extremely happy that the film reached break-even within just three days. My gratitude to our post-production team, CV Rao, Rajini garu, Rambabu, Anand, and everyone who worked on this film. Special thanks to all Akkineni fans and to my brother for his constant support,” he said.

Naga Vamsi Thanks Distributors

Producer Suryadevara Naga Vamsi said he was delighted to celebrate with Akkineni fans and acknowledged the tremendous support from distributors across all territories.

“Our distributors stood by the film and increased the number of shows. Seeing Lenin achieve break-even within three days is extremely satisfying. I thank every distributor for believing in the film,” he said.
