Pallavi Singh, the popular stylist of such actors as Naga Chaitanya, Samantha and Tamil superstar Vijay, was on Sunday traveling in a Uber cab in Chennai when she noticed a burning smell inside the car. Initially, she thought it was coming from the outside. Only later when the car was on top of the TTK Road overbridge that she realized that thick smoke was coming from under the car.
Pallavi immediately alerted the driver, who was totally unaware of it. Passers-by and drivers of other vehicles on the road signaled fervently, asking them to pull over.
The talented woman has written on Facebook that, as soon as she and the driver got out of the car, it was engulfed in a huge fire and her belongings were singed in the process.
