DMK’s working president M.K. Stalin has asked Ministers of the State Cabinet, whose names reportedly figure in the ‘payment list’ of industrialist Sekar Reddy, to tender resignations from the Cabinet at once without any further delay.
Popular television news channel ‘Times Now’ revealed the ‘payment list’ which Stalin says should be inquired thoroughly by CBI. “The Ministers in question should immediately submit their resignations from the Cabinet,” he appealed. In a sting operation, the channel released a few pages from the diary of industrialist Sekar Reddy (considered close to Poes Garden, the ‘power centre’ of the State for many years) showing a payment list containing a few State Ministers’s names.
Speaking to newsmen at party’s ‘Anna Arivalayam’ headquarters in Chennai yesterday, Stalin demanded immediate action on the revelations about the names of a few State Ministers in industrialist Sekar Reddy’s diary as revealed by the television news channel. “The concerned Ministers should quit immediately from the Cabinet and a detailed inquiry by CBI should be ordered into the entire episode,” he said.
“Now that we have authentic data on the link between the Ministers and Sekar Reddy, Governor Banwarilal Purohit should act at once on the issue. If the new exposed by the television channel is found wrong, the Ministers should be courageous enough to file defamation cast against it,” Stalin added.
