The most popular playback singer in South Indian cinema S.P. Balasubrahmanyam tested positive for coronavirus on August 5th and was admitted to the MGM hospital in Chennai with mild symptoms. But on the night of the 13th his condition deteriorated suddenly and he was shifted to the ICU where he is remaining till date with his lungs severely affected.

SPB's son SPB Charan has been regularly updating about his father's health and today he has given by far the most encouraging information that would surely delight the legend's fans to no end.

According to Charan from his last update on September 10th SPB has shown marked improvement and the condition of his lungs is also showing recovery. Further the 74 year old is also able to sit on the cot for around twenty minutes and is continuing to respond well to physiotherapy and speech therapy.

Charan has attributed the improvement in SPB's health to the mass prayers of fans and the celebrity friends and he has once again thanked one and all.
