Ilayaraja’s tearful and highly emotional video message on SPB passing away

The most beloved playback singer S.P. Balasubrahmanyam passed away earlier this afternoon at 1.04pm after fighting for his life from August 5th after testing positive for COVID 19 and subsequent hospitalization.

Isaigniani Ilayaraja a close friend and collaborator of SPB has posted a highly emotional and tearful video message in Tamil he has stated “Dear Balu I asked you to come back from the hospital soon and that I am waiting for you.  But without heeding me you have gone.. Did you go on to the heavens to sing there…This world has become empty without you…No words are coming from my mouth and I don’t know what to say…There is a limit to bearing sorrows”.

Ilayaraja who had a fifty-year friendship with SPB is seen in the video visibly shaken and his speech to is quite broken which shows how much he misses his dear friend and long time collaborator.
