Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas Reach Custody Agreement Amidst Divorce Battle

Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas have settled the bitter divorce battle: their daughters will stay put in New York. In an interim consent order, the estranged couple has vowed not to take their children out of state. The duo is slated to appear before Justice Matthew Cooper on October 3 for a pretrial conference.
This peace comes after a recent court filing by the "Game of Thrones" actress accusing Jonas of keeping their children from flying back to England, supposedly where they lived permanently. Turner further stated that she learned of their divorce in the media during an intense fight on Jonas' birthday. On this note, however, Jonas vehemently denied these charges, arguing that he had not 'kidnapped' his own kids and that they agreed upon ending it before even filing for it.
A representative for Jonas commented that the legal dispute is a "result of a child custody" issue after a marriage dissolved. He also asked why there were words such as "abduction", as the children weren't abducted. Finally, he said that Turner and Jonas had an easy meet-up before her lawsuit where they agreed on custodial terms, so filing was surprising.
Photos showed the couple dining with their two daughters, followed by photos of Turner running errands in New York City with their 3-year-old daughter Willa. Turner made news too when she was seen dining with Jonas' ex, Taylor Swift, several times.
Jonas filed a divorce case on September 5 in Miami, culminating their four-year marriage. In a joint statement issued by them, they called upon privacy for themselves and their children, saying that the decision was mutual.
The future of divorce proceedings remains uncertain, but currently matters will be geared towards the welfare of their daughters and finding common ground over custody issues and related factors.
