Playback singer Malavika has shared a post on her Facebook page dismissing rumours about her attending a TV show along with singer SP Balasubrahmanyam after testing positive for the coronavirus. SP Balasubrahmanyam had tested positive for coronavirus in the first week of August, and there's a news making the rounds that he contracted the virus after attending a TV show.

Recently there were rumours on social media and WhatsApp that playback singer Malavika had attended the show despite testing positive for Coronavirus. Now she has posted clarifying about this on Facebook saying that she got tested for coronavirus after SPB got admitted at a hospital. On August 8, she got tested and her test results turned positive on August 8, and her father, mother and two-year-old daughter also tested positive for coronavirus.

Malavika has released an emotional video as well clarifying that she wasn't the person who spread Coronavirus to the legendary singer, and added that people must check facts before spreading whatsapp messages and that legal action will be taken against people spreading fake news against her.
