Simbu and Trisha, who co-starred in Gautham Vasudev Menon's Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa, set the temperatures soaring with their brilliant on-screen chemistry. It is also a well-known fact that the actors have remained close friends for several years.
Following a number of speculations regarding Simbu's marriage in the recent past, the latest rumour that has been doing the rounds is that he is getting married to his VTV co-star Trisha. The reports from the entertainment portals, however, seem to be mere speculations as neither Simbu nor Trisha confirmed the news. Sources close to us have also refuted the baseless claims and clarified that the news is not true.
The duo recently starred in Gautham Menon's short film, Karthik Dial Seytha Yenn, which was filmed during the nationwide lockdown and released on the night of May 20 on YouTube. The 12-minute long short film portrayed the life of Karthik (Simbu) and Jessie (Trisha) years after their separation in the director's blockbuster movie, Vinnaithaandi Varuvaayaa. Gautham Menon had shared the link of the long-awaited short film on social media with a caption that read, "So very thankful to the names involved in this effort and especially amidst these testing times. There's hope, there is love and there's a beautiful future. Love to all!"
Trisha had ended her relationship with Telugu star Rana Daggubati after a few years of dating and got engaged to producer Varun Manian in early 2015. The couple, however, parted ways a few months after. Simbu had dated his 'Vallavan' co-star Nayanthara and actress Hansika Motwani in the past and recent rumours suggested that he was getting married to a London-based girl, but the claims were rubbished by Simbu's father, T. Rajendar.
