Jiiva is undoubtedly one of the most talented actors in Tamil cinema who has proved his mettle in intense, humorous and action-oriented film genres.  The past few years have not been too good for him but looks like he is back with a bang in 'Seeru' an underdog versus dreaded gangster thriller judging by the just-released trailer.

The 'Seeru' trailer shows the stylish Navdeep as a dreaded Chennai gangster and Jiiva as the Mayavaram youth who takes him on and becomes his nemesis.  The shots reveal sister sentiments and dialogues spell out a strong friendship angle as well.  Jiiva is in his elements in all the frames and looks like Vels Films International have given him a neatly packaged comeback.

'Seeru' is directed by Rathina Siva with D. Imman scoring the music, Prasanna Kumar behind the camera and Lawrence Kishore in charge of the edits.  Jiiva, Navdeep, Riya Suman, Sathish, Gayathri Krishna and Varun costar.  The film hits the screens on February 7th.
