The Tamil Nadu government's case against director A.R. Murugadoss in the 'Sarkar' issue came up for hearing today and the judge condemned the ruling government sending a barrage of questions to it. The judge stated that it is a fundamental right of a citizen or creator to criticize any government project or scheme and seeking an assurance from ARM not that he will not do so in future films is stifling of creativity.

The judge also questioned how a cinematic scene can cause violence among the people and added why action was not taken against the censor board who allowed the controversial scenes. The judgment on the A.R. Murugadoss case is expected in the afternoon.
