Sandy became a household name after choreographing winning teams in the 'Maanaada Mayilada' reality show on Kalaigniar TV and later shifted base to Vijay TV. He attained celebrity status after participating in the 'Bigg Boss 3' show hosted by Kamal Haasan in which he was declared the runner up.

Sandy has shared a throwback video in which he is seen dancing to the steps of Superstar Rajiniknath's 'Petta' them music on the streets of London. It then turns funny as he happens upon a police car parked at the end of the street and backtracks by hiding his face on his lungi. Sandy's followers are giving thumbs up for the entertaining video at the time when all are locked down due to the COVID 19 pandemic.
