Yashoda's talkie portions have been wrapped up successfully. Starring Samantha Ruth Prabhu in the lead, the film is an action thriller for which Hari and Harish are wielding the megaphone.

The 'Majili' actress has shot for the movie in Hyderabad, Kodaikanal and other locations. Also featuring Varalaxmi Sarathkumar and Unni Mukundan, the film is produced by Sivalenka Prasad. It will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi simultaneously.

Also featuring Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, and Priyanka Sharma, the film has the versatile Rao Ramesh and Murali Sharma in other roles.

'Yashoda' will not be hitting the screens in August as planned. The buzz is that a new release date is going to be announced later this month. Meanwhile, producer Neelima Guna has confirmed the release of 'Shaakuntalam'. "It will be released this year, of course," she said. The film is directed by Gunasekhar. It completed its shoot last year.
