Ustaad Bhagat Singh Day 1 Box Office Report: Solid Opening with Mixed Regional Response

Pawan Kalyan’s Ustaad Bhagat Singh opened to strong footfalls on its first day, living up to the massive expectations surrounding the film. As expected, fans thronged theatres in large numbers, giving the film a solid start at the box office.

However, the overall performance on Day 1 turned out to be mixed across regions. The film performed exceptionally well in Andhra Pradesh, registering impressive collections and strong occupancy. In contrast, Telangana witnessed a comparatively moderate response, primarily due to stiff competition from Ranveer Singh’s Dhurandhar: The Revenge, which dominated screens, especially in Hyderabad. A similar trend was observed in the North American market as well.

Despite the competition, Ustaad Bhagat Singh managed to post respectable numbers. According to trade estimates, the film collected around ₹38 crore gross in India on Day 1, taking its worldwide gross to approximately ₹50 crore.

While these figures indicate a solid opening, trade analysts believe the film had the potential to perform even better. The decision to advance its release date instead of sticking to the originally planned March 26 slot may have slightly impacted its overall opening potential.

Directed by Harish Shankar, the film is a cop action drama featuring Raashi Khanna and Sreeleela as the female leads. With music composed by Devi Sri Prasad and Thaman S, and produced by Mythri Movie Makers, the film showcases Pawan Kalyan in a vintage mass avatar that has resonated well with fans.
