Samantha, who revealed over a week ago that she was diagnosed with myositis, an autoimmune disease, spoke about her health and her upcoming sci-fi film Yashoda in a recent interview.
The actress spoke about some reports with misleading headlines which claimed her disease was life-threatening. Slamming the reports, Samantha said, “I want to clarify one thing about my health. I have seen many articles stating I have a life-threatening disease. I’m not in that stage right now, I am not dead yet and I don’t think those headlines were necessary. Yes, it is difficult, but I am still here to fight.”
The actress took to her Instagram account in late October and shared a post about her diagnosis which read, “A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon.”
