Actor Siddharth recently made headlines for posting an inappropriate tweet on badminton player Saina Nehwal for her reaction to the alleged breach of Prime Minister Modi’s security in Punjab. We already reported that Siddharth has issued an apology letter in this regard on Twitter last night.
Siddharth’s reply to the Olympic bronze medallist’s tweet on PM Modi's security breach in Punjab courted controversy and landed the actor in trouble. Siddharth replied to Saina Nehwal's tweet which is now deleted, "Subtle cock champion of the world… Thank God we have protectors of India. Shame on you #Rihanna."
The actor released an apology letter to the badminton player after he was brutally trolled for his 'lewd' tweet about the sports personality. Even, the National Commission for Women (NCW) asked Twitter India to ‘immediately’ block Siddharth’s account. Now, Saina has responded to Siddharth’s apology while speaking to a news agency.
According to PTI, Saina said on the sidelines of the ongoing India Open in Delhi, "He only said it and he is now apologising. I was surprised to see myself trending on Twitter that day. I haven’t spoken to him but I am happy that he apologised." She added, "See, it is about women, he shouldn’t target a woman like that but it’s okay, I am not bothered about it, I am happy in my space and god bless him."
