Ram Charan is playing the role of the great Telugu hero Alluri Seetharama Raju in Rajamouli's movie. The magnum opus is set in the early 1920s. The film will hit the screens on 30 July 2020.
Speaking today about the film, the Mega Power Star said, "We are playing respectful characters in the movie. They have been designed to look dignified. The film has a fictional story based on real-life characters. I will be seen as the younger version of Alluri."
Charan revealed that his schedule with NTR is yet to begin. "I am looking forward to working with my brother (NTR)," the Mega hero said.
"It's a pure coincidence that I and dad (Chiranjeevi) are playing freedom fighters at the same time. 'Sye Raa' will release later this year, in the second half of 2019," Charan added.
"RRR movie will be remembered for 10 years. It has been a great experience so far. The movie has long schedules," he added.
To be titled as 'RRR' across languages, the film will be shot for 30 days in Ahmedabad and Pune from the last leg of March.
Charan's first reaction:
The 'Rangasthalam' actor recounted how he felt when Rajamouli revealed that he would be doing the film. The incident happened in 2017. "The director asked me to drop by at his home while on my way to the airport. I went there casually. By then, Tarak was there at his place. I was surprised. I asked them if I should excuse myself if they wanted privacy. At this, Rajamouli garu asked me and Tarak to come to a room. It's there that he revealed the plan. It was the most memorable day," Charan said.
