The trailer for Suriya’s upcoming movie ‘Retro’ has been specially edited by director Alphonse Puthren, known for the hit film ‘Premam’. Recently, it has become a trend for trailers to be crafted by someone other than the main film editor. In this case, Alphonse Puthren took over the role of editing the ‘Retro’ trailer.
Director Karthik Subbaraj and Alphonse Puthren have been close friends since their short film days. Because of their strong bond, Puthren agreed to handle the trailer editing even though he is not otherwise involved in the project.
The film stars Suriya, Pooja Hegde, Joju George, and Karunakaran in key roles. It is jointly produced by 2D Entertainment and Stone Bench, with music scored by Santhosh Narayanan.
A grand trailer and music launch event is being planned in Chennai, and preparation work for it is in full swing. ‘Retro’ is scheduled to release on May 1st.
