Retired IAS Rathna Prabha to join BJP

Retired IAS officer Rathna Prabha has joined the BJP on Wednesday.  She has served as Karnataka’s Chief Secretary in the past.  

“I have decided to join BJP as Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has been striving to develop the country in a unique manner. I wanted to do service to the nation and I felt this was one party apt for me to fulfill my desires to work for the people,” she said.

Months ago, Aparajitha Sarangi, a well-known former IAS officer from Odisha, joined the saffron party.  She is contesting as MP from Bhubaneshwar.  She had quit the civil services last year to make her political entry.
