The filming for Superstar Rajinikanth’s much-anticipated film “Coolie”, directed by the acclaimed Lokesh Kanagaraj, is currently underway in Hyderabad. The shoot began in July, and sources have revealed that a grand song sequence featuring a massive crowd was recently filmed. Notably, a prominent Kannada superstar joined Rajinikanth in this special dance number, adding to the excitement surrounding the film.
Lokesh Kanagaraj, known for his knack for assembling stellar casts in his action-packed films, has once again brought a big name into the fold. Reports suggest that Kannada actor Upendra has a significant role in ‘Coolie’. Upendra, who last appeared in Tamil cinema 16 years ago in Vishal’s 2008 film ‘Satyam’, is making a comeback with this project.
The current shooting schedule in Hyderabad is slated to last for 40 days, with about 25 days of filming remaining. The star-studded cast also includes Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, and Shobana. Produced by Sun Pictures, the film’s music is composed by Anirudh Ravichander, with cinematography by Girish Gangadharan and editing by Philomin Raj.
