Chiranjeevi’s Vishwambhara Update: Makers Address Release Delay

Megastar Chiranjeevi recently delivered a massive blockbuster with the family entertainer Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu, directed by Anil Ravipudi. The film went on to emerge as a major regional industry hit in Tollywood, reaffirming Chiranjeevi’s box-office dominance.

However, fans have been eagerly waiting for Chiru’s much-anticipated fantasy project Vishwambhara, which began production well before Mana Shankara Varaprasad Garu but is yet to announce its release date.

Addressing the delay, Ajay Kumar, associated with UV Creations, spoke during the trailer launch event of Couple Friendly. He candidly explained the reasons behind the extended production timeline, particularly highlighting the film’s heavy dependence on visual effects.

“You all saw the CG in the first teaser. The VFX received a negative response from the audience. Taking that feedback seriously, the team reworked the visuals, and the second teaser featured significantly improved VFX,” Ajay Kumar stated.

He further added that Vishwambhara is mounted on a grand scale and involves extensive CGI work, which naturally requires more time to perfect. “This is a big film, and CGI quality cannot be compromised. The official release date will be announced by Vamsi,” he clarified.

The film features Trisha as the female lead, while Kunal Kapoor plays the antagonist. Adding further weight to the project, Oscar-winning composer M. M. Keeravani is scoring the music.

With the makers focusing on delivering top-notch visual quality, Vishwambhara continues to remain one of the most awaited big-budget fantasy films in Telugu cinema, with fans expecting an official release update soon.
