"Regina Cassandra has broken into new territory in 2019 with her Hindi debut 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' receiving critical acclaim and her performance labeled as flawless. The pretty Chennai girl plays the lesbian lover of protagonist Sonam Kapoor and is probably the first mainstream film exploring the theme in Indian cinema.

Regina Cassandra after 'Ek Ladki Ko Dekha Toh Aisa Laga' has apparently caught the eye of the gay community and one of its members has taken to social media stating "Listen, @ReginaCassandra us gays have adopted you now, ab aapke poore career mai hum sabka full support rahega aapko! Gays migrating to your next project be like" and have posted a GIF of a group of Flamingos flapping in unison.

Her next project in Tamil is the multistarrer 'Party' directed by Venkat Prabhu and costarring Mirchi Shiva, Jai, Kayal Chandran, Shaam, Jayaram, Nasser, Sathyaraj, Ramya Krishnan, Nivetha Pethuraj and Sanchitha Shetty.
