'Needi Naadi Oke Katha', directed by Venu Udugula, is a promising release this Friday. It's making the right noises before its release, having won the applause of even the not-so-easily-convinced Sekhar Kammula.
Going by the promotional content released thus far, it's a human story where a youngster and his broken dreams will be heart-rending to watch. The film casts Sri Vishnu and Devi Prasad in the role of a son and his father, respectively. The son is so poor at studies and the father is frustrated with no hope in sight. There comes a point where the guy's only aim is to get into his father's good books.
The hero's striking dialogues in Chittoor slang, his natural comic timing, the emotional scenes and other elements are expected to amuse the audience.
Situational comedy, a conversational hero-heroine segment, and entertaining songs (Suresh Bobbili is the music director) are the other assets, it seems.
The experience of the Dogme 95 technique will hopefully be different. The cinematography is by Raj Thota of 'Arjun Reddy' fame.
