Ranjith’s reaction for casteist attack on ‘Kabali’ lyrics

Superstar Rajinikanth's upcoming film 'Kabali' is fast getting ready to hit the screens within the first half of July. The teasers, songs and the song teasers have evoked phenomenal response from the fans of Superstar and also the movie buffs in general.

The lyrics in a couple of songs in the 'Kabali' music album composed by Santhosh Narayanan has evoked harsh criticisms from casteist elements in social media. They have allegedly slammed Rajini for his mother tongue not being Tamil and abused Ranjith in the name of his caste.

When the media quizzed about his reaction for this casteiest slur, Ranjith said he does not wish to give any reply to those attacking someone on caste lines. "Avanga avlodhan" (they can think like that only) was his comment on those poor souls.

Ranjith also revealed that the response for the 'Kabali' teaser and songs has boosted the confidence of his team about the film's success.

The 'Madras' director also revealed that the Superstar has watched the final copy of the film and he is liked it very much.
