Rana is on a roll post his success from Baahubali saga and Ghazi Attack, after winning hearts of the people in the trailer of Nene Raju Nene Mantri, the actor is busier than ever with various projects from Tamil, Telugu, Bollywood and more.

His latest flick in Tamil, Naan Aanayittal, is currently in pre-filming process.

Directed by Teja and produced by Suresh Daggubati under Suresh Productions and Blue Planet Entertainments, Naan Aanayittal is a movie that stars Rana Daggubati, Kajal Aggarwal, Catherine Tresa, Navadeep and Ashutosh Rana as main leads.

Speaking about his take on Tamil movie industry, Rana Daggubati says “The Tamil film title is inspired by a super hit song from the timeless matinee-idol and charismatic leader MGR`s blockbuster film Enga Veettu Pillai, a remake of Ramudu Bheemudu (Telugu) the first movie, Moghul, produced by my grandfather, D. Rama Naidu in 1964"

The movie is being shot in some exotic locales of Karaikudi and other parts of South India to blend well with the native story-line.

He adds “It`s very special for me as it brings memoirs of 2 of the greatest icons of the film industry who continue to inspire me.”

Maybe it`s the MGR connection?
