Journalist turned film director Raju Murugan had made a mark with the two movies he had directed so far - Cuckoo and Joker. While Cuckoo was critically acclaimed for the performances of Dinesh and Malavika and the content, Joker, starring Guru Somasundaram went on to win the National award for Best Tamil feature film.

Now, as Raju Murugan is ready with Gypsy, the buzz is that he will next direct a movie that will have directors and actors Sasikumar and Samuthirakani in lead roles. In a recent interview,Samuthirakani had remarked that they're waiting for a call from Raju Murugan to join the shoot.

Meanwhile, Raju Murugan's Gypsy is ready for release, and the movie staring Jiiva and Natasha Singh has been making waves with its recent single "Very Very Bad" being received well. Besides Gypsy, Raju Murugan, who had penned dialogues for Thozha, has also written dialogues for Bala's upcoming movie Varmaa and Mehendi Circus which are gearing up for release.
