As several Tamil stars like Vijay and Ajith increasingly collaborate with Telugu producers, fresh reports suggest that Superstar Rajinikanth may also be taking a similar route for his upcoming project.
Rajinikanth recently wrapped up shooting for Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which is slated for release on August 14. He is also currently working on Jailer 2, helmed by Nelson.
Now, the buzz is that Rajinikanth’s next film will be produced by Mythri Movie Makers, one of Tollywood’s leading production houses. The company, which recently bankrolled Ajith’s Good Bad Ugly and is currently producing Pradeep Ranganathan’s Dude, appears to be expanding its presence in Tamil cinema as well.
Adding to the excitement, the film is likely to be directed by Vivek Athreya, known for the Telugu hit Ante Sundaraniki (dubbed in Tamil as Suryavin Sanathiya). This would mark Athreya’s first collaboration with the Superstar.
While an official confirmation is still awaited, the possibility of a Rajinikanth–Mythri–Vivek Athreya collaboration has already sparked high expectations among fans across both industries.
