Pan Indian star Dhanush had officially announced his recent split from his wife and Superstar Rajinikanth's daughter Aishwarya on January 17th. The news had become a topic of debate on social media and fans of the star family had expressed their shock as well.

It is well known that Rajini and Dhanush share a very close bond that is beyond the father-in-law and son-in-law relationship. Sources close to the family say that when the couple got married in 2004, Rajini gifted Dhanush a very rare Rudraksha neck band specially brought for him from the Himalayas. It is also worth mentioning that Dhanush is an ardent Lord Shiva devotee and he often chants "Om Namachivaya".

Dhanush due to his immense respect for Rajinikanth has never removed the Rudrakhsa unless he has to when acting in front of the camera. Source close to the much celebrated actor say that Dhanush will continue to wear Rajini's gift even after breakup with Aishwaryaa.
