Taking a dig at Prime Minister Narendra Modi in an indirect manner, Congress president Rahul Gandhi has tendered apology to the people for inadvertently giving wrong data on price rise on his Twitter account by stating that he was only human and not ‘Narendrabhai’.
Gujarat is to vote in two phases on this Saturday and next Thursday (09th and 15th November) to elect a new Legislative Assembly for which campaigning has been going on at a hectic pace; curtain draws this evening for campaigning in 89 constituencies which would vote on Saturday. Both the BJP and the Congress are leaving no stone unturned to upset the calculations of the other.
During his one-question-per-day ritual addressed to the Prime Minister, Rahul has been raising queries on law and order, unemployment, violence against women, lack of education facilities, etc. The issues are raised during campaigning as well as on social networking sites by the Congress. On the other day, Rahul had raised queries about the rising pries of vegetables and essential commodities in Gujarat wondering whether the State Govt. was functioning only to help the rich and the corporate firms.
There was some wrong statistical data in his Twitter in put which was criticized by the BJP. Rahul later deleted the wrong data and said “For all my BJP friends: unlike Narendrabhai, I’m human. We do make odd mistakes and that’s what makes life interesting. Thanks for pointing it out and please do keep it coming, it really helps me improve. Love you all.”
