Kamal Haasan has faced a lot of controversies for the Big Boss Tamil reality show he has been hosting since last June 25th. The Hindu Makkal Katchi has protested against the show and called for the arrest of Kamal as they felt the show denigrates Tamil culture.

Adding fuel to the fire was the 'Cheri Behaviour' comment of Gayathri Raghuram who is one of the contestants of the show. The comment seen as offensive against the oppressed caste people was criticised and condemned by many politicians and activist. When Kamal Haasan was asked in a Press meet whether he will apologise for the comment he said he did not director her to utter those words and hence he will not apologise.

Dr.Krishnasamy the founder of Puthiya Tamizhagam party has earlier warned Kamal Haasan that he will file a defamation suit seeking Rs.100 crores if Kamal fails to apologise for the comment made by Gayathri Raghuram. Now he has done what he said.

Krishnasamy has filed a defamation suit of Rs.100 crores against Kamal Haasan and also the TV channel in which the show is being telecast.
