Maestro Ilaiyaraaja has reportedly filed a complaint with the Chennai police commissioner against Sai Prasad, owner of Prasad Studio.
Ilaiyaraaja has mentioned in the complaint that he had been working in an area in the studio, which was given to him by late producer and Prasad studio's founder LV Prasad in 1977. Since then, he has worked from the studio and even his son Ramesh Prasad, who took charge later, was happy with Ilaiyaraaja working there.
However, after his son Sai Prasad took over, from September 2019, he has been working on making Ilaiyaraaja move out of the studio. A legal battle has already been in progress over this.
Ilaiyaraaja has mentioned in his complaint that, during the tough times of lockdown, Sai Prasad and his team have damaged valuable equipment belonging to Ilaiyaraaja in the studio. The legendary music director also alleged that his personal space has been trespassed without permission by breaking open forcibly into the area.
The music director has alleged that Sai Prasad and team have destroyed precious instruments in the studio, besides selling musical notes in the black market.
Ilaiyaraaja has demanded legal action against Sai Prasad.
