In a juicy development, a raft of Bollywood stars, including Salman Khan in the main, have come to face a lawsuit in the US. The likes of Katrina Kaif, Sonakshi Sinha, Ranveer Singh and Prabhu Deva reportedly failed to honour a contract by giving a concert in the US in the past. They took large amounts as advance payment but have neither given any performance nor have they returned the money honorably.
Going into details, an Indian-American promoter is reported to have approached them in 2013 to hold a concert in September that year. But since Salman was embroiled in the Black Buck poaching case in Rajasthan, he couldn't move out of the country. With the biggest crowd-puller unable to make it to the event, the show had to be cancelled.
However, the promoters never got their monies back from the stars. Despite repeated calls to Salman and others, there was no use.
Fed up with this, the promoters have filed a one million dollar lawsuit in the US against Salman and others.
It's reported that the 'Race-3' actor has failed to repay about USD200,000 that he got. Katrina Kaif has failed to give back USD 40,000 and Sonakshi Sinha another USD36,000.
