After multiple delays and swirling rumors, Prabhas and director Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s much-anticipated film Spirit is officially back on track. The high-voltage action drama, which marks Prabhas’s 25th film and his first-ever role as a police officer, is set to go on floors in September 2025.
Initially scheduled to begin production last year, the film faced several postponements, prompting speculation about its future. However, co-producer Pranay Vanga, brother of director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, has now confirmed that the team is fully geared up to start shooting with no further delays expected. The director is currently deep in pre-production work.
Spirit features Tripti Dimri as the female lead. After appearing in a supporting role in Vanga’s blockbuster Animal, Tripti now takes center stage opposite Prabhas, adding further intrigue to the project.
With the combination of Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s intense storytelling and Prabhas’s star power, Spirit is already one of the most awaited films in Indian cinema.
